The old-style retainer was held in place by umbilical tape tied to wool. This new variation features locking clips at the end which are clipped onto the wool. Protainer is applied in seconds, 100% secure, and can be easily removed. Does not interfere with lambing and can be left in place for extended periods.

The EXCAL calf feeder features the well-proven EXCAL Fastflow teat, with non-return valve incorporated to help weak or new-born calves start suckling. The air valve can be covered with finger or thumb if suckling is too fast.

The Grower lamb/kid teat is designed to replace the Little Softy (white) lamb/kid starter teat as the animals get stronger and start chewing the teats. This black teat is made of stronger, harder rubber that is longer lasting than the Little Softy teat. For use in the lamb rail bucket.

There is a long tradition of using jute for calf covers. The material is warm and strong, with lots of trapped air for insulation and breathability. Designed to be quick and easy to fit. There is no neck strap. Just pull on over the head like a jersey, then secure the hind strap.
